Ji-Hyun Yan scored the only South Korean goal that came in the 30th minute of the clash.
The Manchester United and England forward acknowledged that he was "ready for a new challenge" during an interview with Henry Winter on Tuesday.
The news came after manager Ruben Amorim had left both Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the squad to face Manchester City last Sunday, which United won 2-1.
According to Carragher, a move is definitely on the cards with Amorim wanting to put his own stamp on the team.

— Opta Analyst (@OptaAnalyst) December 15, 2024"Most managers who come in, they want to send a message to the squad about the standards of the football club. In some ways it feels a bigger decision than it actually is," said Carragher.
"I mean, is Marcus Rashford in the best XI? How good is he? We're not talking about a world-renowned superstar here. I actually think we talk about Marcus Rashford too much, if I'm being totally honest."
Rashford has been at Manchester United his entire professional career, while he has scored seven goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
He failed to hit double figures for goals last season, following the 2022-23 season in which he netted 30 times. His performance, according to Carragher, does not warrant a place in the team.
"He's a good player, he's not a great player, he's been a really good player for Manchester United. It is time for him to leave the club, but whether there'll be any takers with the wages the lad's on and things like that, who knows," he said.
"I just think a parting of the ways is inevitable at some stage, and I think for Manchester United and Rashfordw500, the quicker that comes, the better."
