Hollywood actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn and Harris Dickinson are reportedly the top picks to play The Beatles in the upcoming four-part biopic about the band.

Deadline reported that Mescal is eyed to portray Paul McCartney, Dickinson as John Lennon, Quinn as George Harrison and Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

“None of the deals are closed, but this is how we hear it is going to go,” said the outlet.

Mescal’s casting was first brought up by “Gladiator II” director Ridley Scott after he said that the actor will be busy next doing the Beatles biopic.

“Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next,” Scott told Christopher Nolan during a Q&A at the Directors Guild of America on Dec. 10.

Mescal rose to fame after starring in the romantic psychological drama “Normal People” (2020) opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones. He also recently starred in the films “Gladiator II” and “All of Us Strangers.”

Starr himself seemingly confirmed Keoghan’s casting in an interview with Entertainment Tonight two weeks ago.

“I think it’s great,” said the 84-year-old when asked about Keoghan potentially playing him. “I believe he’s somewhere taking drum lessons, and I hope not too many.”

Keoghan is known for his portrayals in the films “Saltburn,” “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Dunkirk,” among others. He recently made headlines after allegedly cheating on his girlfriend, pop star Sabrina Carpenter.

Meanwhile, Quinn is best known for his role as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of the Netflix series “Stranger Things.” He was recently cast as Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, in Marvel’s upcoming film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”D

Dickinson, for his part, gained a household name after playing a prince in “Maleficent,” a quarterback in “Where the Crawdads Sing” and a superhero in “The Eternals.” He recently starred in A24 erotic thriller “Babygirl” alongside Nicole Kidman.
